What bike/bikes have a starter that is compatible with my CB550 nighthawk it is expensive to buy the part that is specifically for my bike. The current starter is completely gone and can no be rebuilt, bought the bike this way, the starter is now the only thing keeping it from running. I have already replaced the starter relay.

I absolutely love the way both of these bikes look, but I am recently married and can't dish out 5k for even a used one.
What other companies make bikes that are similar, but at a more accessible price point? Should all "sportster" style bikes look similar to these?

What is the difference between mountain bikes and road bikes?
What are their advantages and disadvantages?
Do road bikes make a big difference for long rides?

I mean the bikes that that sell to other companies, like the Hewlett Packard themed bike. Also, what do the companies do with them? Ride them? Do they sit in the lobby of the corporate offices?

Obviously the professional bikes perform better, but by what sort of margin? How about reliability or lifespan? Is a pro road bike much faster, and does a pro mountain bike handle much better?

I already searched city bikes and commuter bikes but the same images appear. They are great for riding downtown or on the side walks.

I have a cheap mountain bike now, but I'd really like to get more into the biking world. I am a student and use my bike to ride to campus, but I'd like to do some more recreational and long term riding. I was looking at road bikes, and I read about hybrid bikes (which seemed like a good choice because they could go on road and trail). But I have no idea where to start looking for information about different kinds of bikes, or what brand I should buy.

I've been using stationary exercise bikes for years at the gym, mostly for cardio and warmup, but lately I've been thinking of switching to recumbent bikes. I've heard that they are better for your back muscles and spine. Is this true?
