Will changing my car altenator to a higher amperage alternator damage my cars electronics?
I'm planning to do a big three, change to a higher amperage alternator and changing a higher amperage battery, will that damage my car electrical component?

Best answer:The voltage is the important thing. The alternator can be a million amp capacity, but it will only put out as much as the system needs.

no your alternator only charges your battery the amps that come out of your battery will be the same...and i doubt your it will hurt anything having a higher amp as long as there are fuses hooked up to everything

no,but you might have to change the alternater fuse if your car has one. I did a similar change when I had a car that had 5000 watt stereo system and had no problems
