Where can I sell automotive tools of all sorts?

Pawn shop? does any other store buy tools? I know they can fetch a lot of money. any ideas what fetches the MOST money among a lot of common automotive tools? I have A LOT of tools. car business. need to sell a few things to get cash up.

Ebay has become a scammers paradise. You would be taking a great risk trying to sell your tools there now. All a buyer has to do is claim that they are not as described, and send you back something (half the tools, a box of rocks, anything at all) and Ebay and Paypal will force a refund to the buyer. I was a seller on Ebay, but now it is way to risky. Craigslist is a good idea, list a few tools, and put in the ad that you have other tools available. The value of the tools will depend on the actual tool, the brand and availability of similar tools in retail outlets in your area. If you can buy a tool at Home Depot, Lowes or Sears for $25 new, a used one will usually sell for about $10 Pawn shops are going to pay very little. They have to resell the tools so will want to pay $5 for the same tool, so that they can sell it for $10

I would go with ebay look at their current prices the same items are getting and see what you can get. I would set some buy it now prices and go with that. Then try craigslist.com

If you have quite a few You could sell them at a swap meet or on E-Bay. Make a list of what you have and go to several auto repair shops and see if any of the mechanics will buy them.

Never go to a pawn shop because you will never get what you want, not even close. Ebay is good way to sell items, but it costs money to place the item online. Craigslist is the way I sell a lot of my items; however, make sure you ask a little bit more than your lowest asking price, because people will try to "low-ball" you. If all of these don't work, then go to the swap-meet.
