When you delete a printer from your list of printers, does it delete the printer driver?
And all the other superfluous nonsense that likely came on the CD when you bought the printer. Or does it simply remove the printer from your list of printers?

Best answer:Whether you delete or uninstall the printer, it usually only removes the printer from your printer list, the driver software & files are still available on the hard drive. You'd have to find the file location and delete them to remove them. Sometimes uninstall options will remove the software too, but you never know which one does or doesn't really.

if you have a dot matrix printer then it will uninstall if you delete from the list. but you can not uninstall other's printer from printer list.
