What brand of tv is good and where can i get one for a reasonable price?
My big screen SONY tv won't turn on and i haven't had it for that long either..im not sure whats wrong with it but i'm lookin for a new tv.
oh and are there ppl who will check ur tv to find out what the exact problem is? cause i would rather do that instead of buying a new tv all together.

Best answer: Hit up your yellow pages or the Better Business Bureau listings for TV repair services. There should be at least a few in your area. You can call around and see if anyone can give you ball park quotes and then you can decide who to take it too. Also, you could contact the store you bought the TV from and see if they can recommend anyone in the area for servicing the TV.
If you want to go with another TV, I would go with a Samsung or Panasonic one. I think those are the other top tier brands next to Sony. I'm surprised you've run into problems with your Sony actually. Its usually a solid brand on reliability. The experience might turn you off it for a while, but I'd typically count on Sony for reliability.
