What are the best netbooks for under 500 bucks?
There are people that say you can't do anything on cheap computers like this. All I plan on doing are internet, videos, and word processing. Will netbooks do it for me?

Best answer:Netbooks are generally for that purpose. with 1.6Ghz and 1 or 2GB Rams it still run most programs smoothly. There have been hacks, that allows you to install MAC OS in there. I also saw some videos showing some netbooks like the MSI Wind(2GB RAMS) run popular games such as counter strike, doom etc. Actually i bought a netbook recently from store.imaninc.com during an event they held at my school(Ngee ann polytechnic) They are working great and i actually like the netbook as it rather light and fits into my hand bag well. Some major flaws are i can't run photoshop smoothly. It works ok with dreamweaver and Auto CAD. Thus its not so hopeless. Anyway i have the Pink MSI Wind. Not sure about the rest of the brands. It cost me 739 at the online store. Were retailing at 759 at that time . not sure about now. But below $500 . There should be an asus eee pc. Can ask the staff they are quite responsive to questions.
