Is this considered a hypocrite?

Amazon sells books on dog and rooster fighting, but they also sell books on animal rights. That is being a hypocrite. Do you agree?

No. They don't take a position on that issue. They just make the books available to whoever wants to read them. They also sell books on Christianity AND atheism. They aren't being hypocrites. They just want to sell books to both of those markets.

Not at all.. Amazon.com, is a store... which means, it is up to the user to pick what they want to buy... Amazon does not write these books... they just sell them...

Amazon just sells the books, they are not trying to get you to believe one or the other is the book you should buy. It is like a store selling cigarettes but also selling stop smoking aids.

No. They sell books by republicans and books by democrats. And books against Christians and books for Christians. And books that espouse communism and ones that talk about democracy. They sell books. It's their job. They don't just sell the ones they think are right.

They are a marketplace, a book seller. For example, if you went to a library tomorrow and all your favorite books were gone because someone thought they would damage zucchini, how would you feel? I don't agree with a lot of the material out there, I don't like it, but I do like the ability to have free speech and read what I wish to read. A hypocrite would try to validate their actions..they have nothing to validate.

No it's just being a book store, that sells "books" in general, not any particular kind or preference, it's just what they do. If they were "petco" or "pets are us" or other pet store/animal lovers, then yes, that would be hypoctrical. Amazon is just a book store that sells books, all kinds every kind, just like any other main stream book store, they have a whole 'library' of books. They are in business to sell books. Just as any other main stream book stores do, they sell Bibles and books on christianity & also sell books promoting witchcraft/occult and the like. Where as a Christian book store does not.

No, they're a business so they're smart. They're banking on the Cause (fighting) and effect (being brought to court needing to your animal's rights). Kudos to them. Great marketing. JK, but they just sell books and people like to be informed of anything. Might read about dog fighting to teach an upcoming animal cop what clues to look for etc. Education is key.
