Can you start an electric start ATV if the starter is missing?
When i press the starter button it sounds like a car when it wont start because its out of gas or something. The atv has gas, and oil. new battery. Only thing i can think of is the starter being gone. Do you HAVE to have the starter in order to start the atv? Is there any other way to start it?

Best answer: The starter motor is there to......(you guessed it) start the engine. No starter - no start. They used to put both a kick starter and electric start on motorcycles and ATVs, but most nowadays only have the electric start.
All answer: Answer 1 Look for a kickstart. Most ATV's have them hidden away under plastic as a backup in case the electric starter doesn't work. 2008-06-13 10:07:14
